Biography

Paula Kostiuk is a seasoned communications and operational strategist with over a decade of expertise in communications, strategic planning, and change management within nonprofit and public policy organizations. In her current role as Chief of Staff for Institutional Diversity and Equity, she advises the Senior Vice President and Senior Diversity Officer and supports the development and implementation of organizational strategies. Paula excels at connecting diverse audiences with the division’s mission, ensuring broad and impactful outreach.

A strong advocate for transparency and trust-building, Paula is committed to implementing organizational strategies and campaigns that uphold integrity, foster open communication, and enhance community engagement. She has successfully managed and led initiatives on critical policy issues such as middle-class well-being, artificial intelligence, voting rights, climate change, healthcare, and democracy.

Paula holds an undergraduate degree in communication from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in strategic communication from American University where she researched political identity rhetoric. Before joining Dartmouth, she served as the Director of Communications Operations and Staff at the Brookings Institution, a global think tank based in Washington, DC.
