About the Program
Overview
Based on TIAA’s model of Inclusion Champions, Dartmouth’s Inclusion Champions has been designed as a cohort of allies of all backgrounds and identities focused on boldly practicing inclusion in the workplace, interrupting bias and microaggressions, actively modeling the inclusive behaviors that create belonging to colleagues, and broadly supporting DEI initiatives on-campus and in their respective divisions.
The overarching goal of Inclusion Champions is to empower individuals with a broad understanding and usability of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts and strategies in professional and personal life, while also serving as peer-to-peer resources in their respective departments and divisions. This program also functions to support Dartmouth’s Toward Equity Strategic Plan by focusing on Action 10, “Provide DEI training and education for all leaders to meet expectations for developed leadership competencies.”
Layout of the Program
The Inclusion Champions program consists of (6) monthly sessions that cover a broad range of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts. Each session consists of learning objectives, definitions, concept theory, and actionable strategies.
Cohorts consist of 25 to 40 members with broad representation across schools, divisions, employment type, and work status.
