Biography
Joshua Cuscaden began working for Dartmouth College in July 2024 in the inaugural role of Director, Global Risk and Security. Joshua has over twenty years living and working outside of the United States, including in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South America, the South and West Pacific, the Balkans, Western Europe, and West, Central, and East Africa.
Prior to arriving to Dartmouth College, Joshua has worked for Peace Corps for the past fifteen years as the Director of Management and Operations in Tonga, Ecuador, and Kosovo and as a Regional Security Specialist in the Philippines and Morocco. Before Peace Corps, Joshua worked for Doctors without Borders as a logistician and administrator and with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant. Additionally, he is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) from Kazakhstan. He holds a Master’s in Writing and Poetics from Naropa University and a Master’s in Humanitarian Services Administration from the University of Connecticut. Joshua speaks French, Spanish, and Russian, and he is married with three children.
